The past few days have marked the unveiling of new jerseys for quite a few NBA teams.  With the NBA season getting closer, it’s that time of the year where the new digs come out.

Portland Trail Blazers:

The Trailblazers added an alternate one that really didn’t tickle my fancy too much.  Maybe it’s because they play in Portland?  Or maybe because nothing will beat my Greg Oden jersey (in Portland history).  The two other jerseys could not be any more different than the other.

Denver Nuggets:

They have the best alternate jersey in the game.  They should teach a class on mixing history with contemporary in the sports world.  They took the old school 80’s Denver skyline technicolor design and incorporated it with the present day color scheme.  If I played video games still, I would without a doubt be the Nuggets every time.

Brooklyn Nets:

Apparently they are adopting their neighborhood’s views on life.  For those who don’t know, Brooklyn is home of some of biggest hipsters in the world.  It’s essentially the hipster capital of the world.  If you don’t know what a hipster is, well then…place your heart.

Anyways, every other team in the NBA utilizes colors, multiple colors at that, so what would the hipster do?  THE OPPOSITE.  The Brooklyn Nets are plain Jane black and white.  Jay-Z (0.001% owner) believed it would be best for the team to adopt the old school color scheme and font of the subways…back when New York was mean.

Call me a little light in the loafers but I truly love when a team changes their uniform or adds one.  It really brightens up my day…even if I dont like the team, I dont care…still the best.

What are your thoughts on the new and alternate NBA jerseys?  Comment below.
