Huffington Post – Former Major League Baseball player-turned-actor Brad Lesley has died at the age of 54, reports TMZ.
Lesley’s ex-wife, Chiho Svimonoff, told the website that the former athlete had been living in a nursing home, where he was receiving dialysis for kidney problems, for the past seven months. According to Svimonoff, the “Little Big League” star was rushed to hospital on Saturday night, and later died there from kidney failure.
We are a few days late but that is because the grief has paralyzed us. I finally got enough strength to write this…Here goes nothing.
A living legend has left us ladies and gentlemen. Words can’t explain what Brad Lesley represented to children of the 90’s. As the hard throwing John “Blackout” Gatling, he scared the shit out of kids except Billy Heywood (no, not the lazysack of shit writer). He had a couple of other roles in movies but will forever be remembered as Blackout.
It is only right that at everyones next softball or baseball game we all do a MONSTER wad of chew in his honor.
Gone but not forgotten. Sir…rest in peace.
