Islanders JetsLet’s get right to it today: the playoff picture.

At the start of the day, 5 teams in the Eastern Conference have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, and 3 from the Western Conference. Although 8 are officially eliminated, several teams are technically still in it. The Devils play the Rangers today at 3/2CT and anything but a regulation win would officially end New Jersey’s disappointing season. So a Devils loss would the Capitals, Jets, Rangers, Islanders, and Senators fighting for the remaining spots.

In the West, 8 teams have yet to clinch. It’s looking like it will come down to the Blue Jackets, Stars, and Red Wings for the #8 seed. Of the three, Detroit is holding the best percentage of getting in at 48.3%, followed by Dallas at 24.4%, and Columbus at 23.3%.
