JayZ BeyonceESPN – Roc Nation, an entertainment company founded by Shawn Carter, also known as Jay-Z, will announce on Tuesday that it is getting into the sports representation business through a partnership with Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

The company, which will be known as Roc Nation Sports, has signed its first client, the New York Yankees’ Robinson Cano. Cano, who has left agent Scott Boras, is in the final year of a six-year, $57 million deal with the team.

Sources say Jay-Z himself is planning to be a certified agent, first in baseball and eventually in basketball and football. In order to represent clients in basketball, he would have to give up his small share of the Brooklyn Nets.

Jay-Z may become a certified agent, if he does he may have to give up his 0.0001% stake in the Nets…

Well Well Well…If you ever thought a poor kid from the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn would become a successful drug dealer turned rapper turned mogul turned sports agent then you my friend are a wizard.

Jay-Z just doesn’t have enough. A smoking hot wife, hundreds of millions of dollars, Obama on speed dial, and a baby girl at home. This cat now is becoming a sports agent. Can’t say I am surprised, but I am now starting to think his next endeavor may be becoming an astronaut or have his own cooking show on prime time television.

Sidenote – I did not wake up today thinking I’d See Master P written in articles today…this made me oh so much happier.
