Hollywood Reporter – Before dusting off the Millennium Falcon for a Star Wars sequel, Harrison Ford will sharpen his comedic chops for a role in Paramount’s Anchorman 2.
Ford will play a legendary newscaster a la Tom Brokaw in the Adam McKay-helmed comedy, which begins shooting this month in Atlanta. He previously played an anchorman in the film Morning Glory, the 2010 comedy produced by J.J. Abramsand Bryan Burk.
Harrison Motha Fuckin’ Ford! From blasting away Storm Troopers to running from US Marshalls to throwing on the clown suit and getting behind the news desk, the guy can do no wrong! Well other than that stupid earring he rocks…he can do no wrong.
I’m serious when I say this: I don’t think he has been in a single comedy. I also have only seen a handful of Harrison Ford flicks but I’m assuming I’m correct and refuse to look it up. I think he’s going to be hilarious in this. Hilarious in the most subtle way possible. Obviously not going to be like Will Ferrel or anything but probably a douchebag character like Sack from Wedding Crashers. Funny in a sneaky way but a great character.
I had my doubts about them making another Anchorman but throw Harrison Ford in the mix and it’s obviously going to be a gem. As Bart Scott would say…CAN’T WAIT!
