Is it Selection Sunday Yet??

18 days until selection Sunday. Even though there are a lot of games tonight, only three do I like enough to place a wager.

Georgetown -2 @ UConn: I hate picking road favorites, but Georgetown is solid. UConn definitely has it in them to pull the upset, but Georgetown is looking the strengthen their resume to maybe get a 2-seed. Take the Hoyas.

Charlotte -1 Vs. Dayton: Dayton, a perennial 4-6 place A-10 finisher is a dumpster fire. One so bad, they may miss the 12-team A-10 tournament…that is BAD. Charlotte is a little schizophrenic, but being at home against a struggling Dayton, they take it down. Take Charlotte.

St. Joseph’s +11.5 @ St. Louis: I immediately am afraid of this bet. St. Louis is playing out of their damn minds. NINE wins in a row with 2 of them against Butler and one against VCU. Is this the “Tribute to Rick Majerius team”?? You know what though? I smell a trap. 9 in a row? I think this could potentially be a “Bad Loss” for SLU tonight. I’m not making a Hawks moneyline bet, but I like Phil Martelli +11.5 enough to make a small bet.

Maryland +1 @ Georgia Tech: Still don’t like GT, and Maryland has played and beaten the best. They are pretty schizo as well since they have beaten Duke… and then lose by 11 at second-to-last place Boston College. Regardless, Maryland is the better team.

Not to mention, this is one of the best choreographed, student section dance I have ever seen.

Fine… one more to make it 5.

Oklahoma -2 @ Texas: Really going against all my own rules here. Betting the ROAD FAVORITE in a [Red River] rivalry game is just the worst idea possible. But you know what? Texas sucks this year. Bring the Durantula back.

There they are kids. Good luck. See you on Saturday.
