10 days without football. Is it August yet?

At least we are only about a month away from the best tournament in sports. Lets start looking at it:

Charlotte +12 @ Butler: Charlotte only lost 2 games before conference play began, but they are in the the meat of the A-10 right now. Losses to Temple, then VCU and now they have Butler. I have to think that they looked at this stretch on the schedule saying “we need to win ONE of those three”. Heck, after this, they play AT SLU, and then home against Temple again. Having said all of that, I don’t love this pick. Charlotte will still lose, but take the 12 points with a smaller wager.

Depaul @ -11 Notre Dame: Go look at DePaul’s Big East record…They would be a decent team in a mid-major or lesser conference… but in the Big East, they cant even compete. Notre Dame is solid and at home. Lay 11 and take the Irish.

Syracuse -4.5 @ UConn: I still think UConn is overrated. If this was in the Carrier Dome it would be ‘Cuse by double-digits. I think they still beat them up.

Creighton -2 @ Northern Iowa: Always hard to win on the road, but Creighton is a great team and Northern Iowa is mediocre at best.

North Carolina @ Duke; Under 153: 76.5 points a side is a lot in college basketball, even for these teams. I also think -11 is a good line. If I had to, I would take UNC with 11 since its a rivalry, but I also see Duke running train at Cameron.
