We’re the Most Stressed Generation?

Teenage Problems, Social Issues and Bullying

CBS Philadelphia – A new survey released Thursday says young adults, between 18 and 33-years-old, are more stressed than any other generation.
USA Today says the online survey was conducted in August 2012 by Harris Interactive for the American Psychological Association and was taken by 2,020 U.S. adults (18 and older).
Results of the survey say the average stress level of adults in 2012 was 4.9 on a 10-point scale, where one means “little or no stress” and 10 means “a great deal of stress.”

The survey found that the stress level for Millennials, adults aged 18-33, was 5.4 with 39 percent saying their stress increased during the past year and 52 percent saying that it has kept them up at night. The top two causes of their stress are work and money.

Really?  20somethings are stressed? Depressed? Get the fuck out of here. What is so stressful about our lives? You work at a back end job and don’t make $100k yet, no one is ya dopes. You have to put in your time to earn that pay. We live in “instant gratification” world and don’t want to work for it anymore. If you are so worried about money do this and then come talk to me:  Stop going out, stop shopping, stop buying $4 cups of coffee, and give up the smartphone. We are our own worst enemies when we say we are stressed about money or careers.

You think you got it so terrible? You’d be the first one to die in the great depression. You’re supposed to suck at life in your 20s and be broke. That’s life fuckface.

I guarantee whatever generation is in their 40s or 50s have it worse than all of us. They experienced the good times of the 80s/90s and now they have to work past intended retirement age. Ohh they also have kids to support and a mortgage and 80% look after their elderly parents. Now that is fuckin stress people.

If my biggest stress is just making it to work on time on a Friday and not bust inside some girl I am okay with that. Mortgages…elderly parents..kids of your own…that shit is scary.

This is just more evidence that America is becoming soft. Sack up people.

All i gotta say is that a few of these “stressed” millennials should work under the conditions their great grandparents had to go through. Live in tenement cities or work sun up to sun down out on the farm.
