polar-bear-slipping-on-ice-funny-sing-wallpaperESPN – Free-agent pitcher Carl Pavano recently suffered a ruptured spleen that will sideline him for six to eight weeks, according to a report by

Pavano, 37, was injured when he slipped and fell while shoveling snow in his driveway at his home in Vermont, a source told the website.

Pavano, who has been with the Minnesota Twins since the middle of 2009, didn’t pitch in a game last season after June 1 due to a right shoulder injury. He went just 2-5 with a 6.00 ERA in 11 games.

Strange injuries aren’t anything new for Pavano, who once landed on the disabled list after bruising his buttocks in a 2006 spring training game while with the New York Yankees. He also suffered two broken ribs in an automobile accident later that season, an incident he originally didn’t tell the team about.

Carl Pavano can’t catch a break. He has the worst luck of any professional sports player I have ever known. The best part about this story is the last sentence…

The New York Mets and Colorado Rockies were among teams that were showing interest in Pavano this offseason, Fox reported.”

Really? Come on Sandy. Pavano? Just look at his porno stache! You can’t trust a man with a mustache, that’s just a stone cold fact.

The guy can’t even stay healthy enough for a full season, and that’s who you’re pursuing in free agency? How about we go after Michael Bourn or Kyle Lohse? For fucks sake not going after Upton was a idiotic move, and going after Pavano might have been even dumber!
