The Atlanta Braves Outfield is Stacked

Justin Upton

ESPN – The Atlanta Braves have acquired outfielder Justin Upton and third baseman Chris Johnson from the Arizona Diamondbacks for pitcher Randall Delgado, infielder Martin Prado and minor leaguers Nick Ahmed, Brandon Drury and Zeke Spruill.

The deal unites Upton, 25, with his older brother,B.J. Upton, who signed as a free agent with Atlanta this winter. After signing, B.J. Upton said he wanted to play with this brother in the same outfield.

The Braves get Justin Upton to form one of the best, if not the best, outfields in the Major Leagues in the last 10 years. Justin Upton, BJ Upton, and Jayson Heyward are all STUDS in their prime who can each easily put up 30HR/100 RBIs if they stay healthy and focused. They gave up some ehhh MLB role players and some prospects.

They countered moves made by the Nationals and Phillies and in my eyes may be the best team in the National League. I will be discussing this trade fully in depth during my Spring Training Report.

  1. Prostitutes says:

That’s not even the best outfield TODAY, let alone over the past 10 years. The best outfield today (by far), who are three white guys no less, is Hamilton, Trout, and Trumbo.

What does Race have to do with it? Are you saying that because it is an all white outfield they are better? I’d bet you som serious money that Upton Upton Heyward will put up better numbers than Trout (sophpmore slump), Hamilton (pssh stay clean in LA lol) and Trumbo (who?)
