Digital Spy – A man took to putting on 70 items of clothing to avoid an extra baggage charge at an airport. The unidentified passenger turned up at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China, described as looking like a ‘sumo wrestler’.According to Guangzhou Daily, the man’s luggage exceeded the weight limit. He did not want to pay the extra baggage costs, and thus took out and wore more than 60 shirts and nine pairs of jeans.
Wanting to board a flight to Nairobi, Kenya, he was stopped by the metal detector and had to undergo a full body search.
In his numerous pockets were batteries, thumb drives and device chargers.
Absolute power move here. They’re gonna make you pay more cause your bag weights too much? Nice try airlines. The most baffling part about this story is that he was bringing 70 items to Kenya. KENYA! What the fuck do you need 60 shirts and 9 pairs of jeans for in Kenya? Isn’t it like 3 billion degrees there? Not only that but how the hell do you sit through a flight with 60 shirts on? If I have a sweatshirt on I’m losing about 9 pounds of water weight due to sweating. So everyone at home: take notes. If you want to avoid those pesky baggage fees, you better start training to be a walking suitcase.
