Texans (10-6) (11-5)
The Texans come into the season and reigning AFC South champs. Matt Schaub and Arian Foster will lead the Texans to another division title. They have a great pass rush and Johnathan Joseph is back for his second year with the team, which will be a tough challenge for the opposition to get their best wideout open. Healthy foot on Schaub and of course, Arian Foster, the Texans coast to first in the division.
They will lose a gimme game to the Colts, other than that…they will feast on division rivals.
Colts (8-8) (7-9)
The Colts are another team I just can’t put my finger on. I’m not much on preseason football, but the way Andrew Luck has been playing, I really like to Colts taking second in the division. Now 8-8 is really a shot in the dark. To say they’ll have a great season is tough, but Luck will bring big improvements to a team looking to rebuild their brand.
Hard Luck for the Colts this year, they will have a decent record: not good and not terrible. If I was them, try to land a top 10 draft spot to supplement Luck.
Titans (8-8) (9-7)
I love the Titans giving Jake Locker the ball. However, the Titans have one of the toughest schedules to start the season: New England, at San Diego, Detroit and at Houston. They’re going to need their defense to step up and Chris Johnson to have a Chris Johnson type of year.
The Titans will have a great year and make the playoffs. They will inspire a mashup Disney movie in which Steve McNair’s ghost will help with racial disputes on a team, titled: Remember the Titans Angel in the Endzone.
Jaguars (5-11) (4-12)
Roll out the red carpet! Maurice Jones-Drew finally ends his holdout! ESPN reporting Jones-Drew will not even start, but be a third down running back. I do not see Blaine Gabbert being productive in his second season. They will still have protection issues and the Jones-Drew’s holdout will affect the team more so than people expect. Jaguars finishing last in the AFC South.
Can’t tell ya much about the Jags other than they will probably be blacked out more this season than sophmore boys at sweet sixteens.
